A Freetown man charged with beating a Florida man to death has been ordered held without bail.
Aaron Morin pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Monday in Taunton District Court.
Prosecutors say the 26-year-old Morin is charged with killing Chad Fleming of Deerfield Beach, Fla.
Police responded to Morton Hospital on Nov. 3 after staff reported that a deceased man had been brought to the hospital. Police determined that Fleming had been beaten to death in or near a Taunton (TAHN'-ton) home earlier that night.
The man who drove Fleming's body to the hospital and who lives at the home, 22-year-old Nelson Melo, has pleaded not guilty to witness intimidation and is being held on $50,000 bail.
