One Delray Beach landscaper tried to stop robbers himself who were trying to drive away with his equipment.

Jeff Price said he saw some men standing by his open trailer on Friday evening when he heard one of them say "let's take it."

He said he ran toward the car as they loaded up the truck and drove away. But the 29-year-old former Coast Guard petty officer latched onto the hood of the Chevy.

Police say the robbers would drive and then stop abruptly to try to shake Price off. He held on for a while.

One robber eventually tossed out two weed wackers before Price fell from the hood. The suspects managed to take a chainsaw worth $200.

No one was arrested as of Sunday in connection with the robbery.
