MLS rescinds red card for KC's Collin

The Associated PressJuly 18, 2014

Aurelien Collin of Sporting KC is able to play Saturday against Los Angeles after his red card was rescinded by MLS.

The league's independent review panel looked at the play for which he was sent off, in the 55th minute against Columbus on Wednesday. Collin and the Crew's Adam Bedell both went up for the ball, and appeared to make contact in the air. Bedell fell to the turf clutching his face and Collin was shown a red card and sent off.

Sporting KC won anyway, 2-1 over Columbus, on a stoppage-time goal after Columbus' Wil Trapp was sent off for a second yellow card.
