Bradenton police look for 'armed and dangerous' shooting suspect

BRADENTON -- Bradenton police are looking for a man they say shot another man late Tuesday, according to a news release.

Investigators said a witness reported seeing Robert E. Brewer, 18, shoot a 24-year-old man once in the lower abdomen, and then flee the area before officers arrived, according to a news release.

The shooting happened about 8:41 p.m. in the 1200 block of 21st Avenue West.

Police said Brewer should be considered "armed and dangerous."

The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton where he was in stable condition, according to police.
