Bradenton police charge 2 in connection with oxycodone, morphine found at residence

BRADENTON -- Police found numerous oxycodone pills, morphine pills, and drug paraphernalia inside a residence while executing a search warrant in Bradenton, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The Bradenton Police Department’s Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant that was issued due to numerous code violations in the 600 block of 21st Street West on Tuesday, according to a release. They found oxycodone, morphine and drug paraphernalia along with two juveniles.

Two other individuals inside the house, Eddie C. McCary, 43, and Heather M. Castro, 27, were taken into custody, according to police.

McCary faces charges ofpossession of oxycodone and morphine and Castro faces a charge possession of drug paraphernalia.

McCary was being held on bonds totaling $3,320, according to the Manatee County jail website.

Castro was released from jail after posting a $500 bond.
