Sarasota 81-year-old gets his wallet back after armed robbery

MANATEE -- An 81-year-old Sarasota man was robbed while sitting in his vehicle on Tuesday night by two homeless men, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim drove into the parking lot of Able Elementary in Sarasota at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday and while he was still in the vehicle suspects Jordan D. Bledsoe, 25, and Aaron L. Gordon, 19, came up with a knife and demanded his wallet, according to deputies.

The victim gave them his wallet and the two fled on foot, according to a release. The two were later located, the victim positively identified both of them and they were arrested.

Both are being charged with armed robbery, according to the release.

Gordon was being held without bond at the Manatee County jail.

Booking information for Bledsoe was not available.
