Ker's Winghouse changes hands

BRADENTON -- Soaring Wings of Bradenton LLC paid more than $658,500 for Ker's Winghouse Bar & Grill on 14th Street West.

The sale was part of a deal in which Third Lake Capital officially acquired all 24 locations of Largo-based restaurant, Ker's WingHouse Bar & Grill.

Crawford Ker, a former NFL player with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos, founded the business in 1994. He plans on staying with the new company as the CEO. The Bradenton restaurant was doing business as Winghouse of Bradenton LLC.

"This is a very exciting time for WingHouse, a company which I started 20-years ago. With 24 locations and growing strong, it's been a steady development due to diligence and hard work," Ker said Tuesday. "WingHouse is embarking onto new territory with its continued growth into the Southeast, and for this reason, aligning ourselves with Third Lake Capital and its experienced experts can facilitate this rise while maintaining the heart and soul of the brand. While no deal has been finalized, it can be assured that I will be staying with WingHouse as CEO to guarantee it continues striving to create quality and memorable experiences that our loyal customers enjoy."
