Sarasota police issue Silver Alert for missing man, 84

The Sarasota Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for Enrique R.Becerra, 84, of 2376 Novus St., Sarasota.

Becerra was last seen at approximately at 3:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Novus Street and Shade Avenue walking with his walker, according to a police news release.

Becerra was last seen wearing gray slacks, a brown polo, and brown dress shoes. He stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 193 pounds. He has salt and pepper hair and brown eyes.

Becerra was last seen walking southbound on Shade Avenue towards the Bahia Vista area. Becerra suffers from possible dementia and he is diabetic and does not have his medication.
