Stun gun drops Bradenton narcotics suspect

BRADENTON — A Bradenton police officer was reportedly making a narcotics arrest just after midnight Sunday in the 2600 block of Eighth Avenue East when the suspect took flight.

The officer used his Taser, which reportedly caused the suspect to fall and sustain a facial injury.

The suspect, who was not named, was reportedly admitted to Manatee Memorial Hospital for treatment.

A warrant will be completed by the officer for the charges, according to a report by BPD Lt. Lieutenant Brian Thiers.

A Taser form and use of force form will also be completed.
