Sheriff: 3 juveniles charged in attempted residential burglary

MANATEE -- Three Bradenton juveniles were arrested Friday as a result of an attempted residential burglary, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The juveniles were arrested at 11:40 a.m. Friday at 30th Street East in Bradenton. According to a report, a homeowner saw three juveniles behind their neighbor's home and called 911 to report the suspicious behavior.

"Moments later, an alarm was called in for another home beside the residence the juveniles emerged from behind," the report states.

Responding deputies searched the area and found that the home where the alarm was activated had its electricity cut, and a window AC unit had been tampered in an attempt to enter the home, according to the report.

Three suspects were located minutes later and were positively identified by the witness, deputies said. The juveniles confessed and were taken to the county's Juvenile Detention Center, according to the sheriff's office.
