Bradenton Cracker Barrel worker robbed in parking lot

BRADENTON — An armed robbery of a worker at a Bradenton Cracker Barrel was reported to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim, who works at the restaurant at 2203 Cortez Road, said he was approached at 10:30 p.m. Sunday by a masked gunman who demanded money.

The victim gave the gunman his tips, which totaled $55. The suspect fled on foot, deputies reported.

The victim said the suspect appeared to be male and carried a handgun.

“The victim told responding deputies that he was originally not interested in reporting the crime but changed his mind after being encouraged to do so by his manager,” the report states.
