Aberdeen, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) - Ricardo Gonzalez, Kristoffer Broberg and Marc Warren head into the weekend tied atop the leaderboard at 6-under 136 at the Scottish Open.
Gonzalez and Broberg both shot 71s on Friday at Royal Aberdeen, while Warren fired a 2-under 69. The trio currently holds a 1-shot lead.
It appeared as if Gonzalez would end the day two shots up at 8-under, but he made a mess of No. 18 and had to settle for double-bogey and a share of the lead.
Gonzalez, who has made just three cuts in 14 events this year, is seeking his fifth win on the European Tour. Warren is looking for his third and Broberg is trying to win his first.
Justin Rose had another strong day with a 3-under 68, and he is one shot back of the leaders at 5-under 137. David Howell is in fifth place at 4-under after his second-round 70.
Mikko Ilonen (68) and Lucas Bjerregaard (69) are tied for sixth and stand three shots back at 3-under 139. Eleven players are at 2-under and four shots back.
First-round leader Rory McIlroy, who fired a course-record 64 on Thursday, struggled to a 7-over 78 and heads into the weekend at even-par.
