In heartfelt tribute to a blessed friend now gone

July 9, 2014

In the obituary section of July 4, there is a small paragraph informing our community that Audrey Juola passed away on July 1. For those who were touched by her life, the notice does not convey what Audrey and her husband Jon have meant to us.

When my family moved here in January 1995, Audrey and Jon were one of the first couples we met at then Palma Sola Bay Baptist Church (now The Bridge). They sensed our brokenness and were practical about their friendship.

Once the Juloas came alongside you, you were blessed to have hearts and hands to give you support and encouragement. Audrey was naturally reticent but was one of the most faithful friends and prayer warriors I have had in my life.

I am thankful that she is now in eternity and at peace with her Lord and Savior, no longer suffering from her disease of Parkinson's. Audrey will be sorely missed, a strong beacon of caring and compassion.

I thank God for allowing me to be part of her life these past 19 years and eternity to come!
