BRADENTON — A man was injured after falling from the second-floor balcony of a house under construction, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The accident occurred at 8:36 a.m. Tuesday at 5128 River Preserve Blvd., Bradenton. The injured man was painting the eave of the roof in the back of the house with a sprayer.

“As he leaned against the safety cables being used as a guard rail, the bottom one came out of the wall on one side, which was anchored into the wall,” the report states. “He then fell to the ground below between the house and the in-ground pool.”

The man was sent to Blake Hospital with a head injury and police report he is in stable condition.
