Man stabbed in jaw during argument in Manatee convenience store parking lot

MANATEE — A 23-year-old man was stabbed in the jaw Sunday evening following an argument in the parking lot of the Super Stop in the 5600 block of 15th Street East, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The victim pulled up to the Super Stop about 8:20 p.m., and attempted to adjust his parking. Another vehicle pulled in behind the victim as he was trying to adjust his parking. The two vehicles nearly collided, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

A man in the second car had words with the victim, and pulled something out of his back pocket. The two begin to fight and the suspect stabbed the victim in the lower jaw. The victim advised that the object was a knife. The victim was taken to Blake Medical Center.

Deputies are seeking a suspect who was last seen wearing a white shirt, black hat, and shorts.
