Man robbed of truck, wallet outside Bradenton bar

— A man had his truck and wallet stolen by two women and a man outside a bar early Friday, according to authorities.

The 32-year-old victim was sitting in his truck, which was parked outside the El Paisano bar, 5803 15th St. E., around 1:05 a.m. when he was approached by two women who asked him for a ride, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

When he declined, the women pulled him out of the truck, deputies said. A man then approached him from behind, hit him on top of the head with a glass bottle and demanded his belongings, according to a sheriff's report.

The victim refused to hand over his things, so the male suspect took his wallet and an undetermined amount of cash, then fled.

The victim initially chased after the man, the report states, and when he went back to his truck, he saw it driving away. He was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated for a head injury.

The male suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt and black jean shorts, deputies said. One of the female suspects had long black hair, and the other long blonde hair, according to the report.
