July 3, 2014

Winger plays at Saturday's Hairapalooza in Pinellas Park.SPECIAL TO THE HERALD

If your musical tastes developed in he '80s, you probably liked Slaughter, Ratt, Great White and Winger.

You probably would have paid a ton of money to see any one of them back then. This weekend you can see all four of them for free. (Actually it's just Ratt singer Stephen Pearcy, not the whole band, but that's close enough.)

They'll all be at Hairpalooza on Saturday at England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park.

You can go for free, or you can pay $30 for a seat near the stage, or you can pay $200 for a VIP ticket with a bunch of perks.

Whichever ticket you choose, you'll see Slaughter ("Up All Night") which still features singer/guitarist Mark Slaughter and bassist Dana Strum; Great White ("Once Bitten, Twice Shy") with original guitarist Mark Kendall, but without original singer Jack Russell; Winger ("Seventeen") with singer Kip Winger and most of the original lineup; and Pearcy of Ratt ("Round and Round"), whose band includes Ratt bassist Matt Thorr.

In case you want to just try to catch your favorites, here's the schedule: 3 p.m. Pearcy, 4:45 p.m. Slaughter, 6:30 p.m. Great White, 8:15 p.m. Winger.

Locals Sobriety X and Stone Grey Band play before the big-name guys. You can bring lawn chairs and blankets, but no coolers. Food and beverage vendors will be in the park.

Details: Begins at noon July 5, England Brothers Park, 5010 81st Ave. N., Pinellas Park. Tickets: Free, stage seats are $30 plus service charge. VIP tickets $200 plus service charge. Information: 813-531-4051,
