BRADENTON — A Bradenton woman was charged with petty theft after deputies say she stole clothing from a Bradenton Walmart.

Kelly Ringler, 46, was arrested at 4:31 p.m. Sunday at 2911 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton. She reportedly concealed clothing in her bag and left the store without paying for the merchandise.

Loss prevention officers detained Ringler until sheriff’s deputies arrived. The total value of items stolen was $56.61.

As a deputy asked a loss prevention officer what happened, Ringler reportedly said she “did something stupid.”

“I don’t even know why, it wasn’t even a hundred bucks,” Ringle said, according to the report.

She was released from jail Monday on $120 bond.
