MANATEE -- A 13-year-old boy was stabbed during a robbery in Pride Park in Bradenton early Sunday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

About 1:45 a.m., teen and others were at the park's basketball courts when they were approached by four people, possibly also teenagers, "who asked them what they were doing at the park," a news release states.

"At some point, one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim." the report states.

The attackers also took some money from the victim, according to the sheriff's office.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report.

The attack happened in a grassy area next to park's restroom, in the area of 6300 Ninth St. E., the sheriff's office said.
