ANNA MARIA — A man and women have been charged with burglary to a construction site and child neglect, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Trevor John Bjurstrom, 29, and Nicole Denise Asman, 42, were arrested after deputies say they stole from a construction site with the aid of two children.

Asman reportedly drove Bjurstrom at 6:20 p.m. Thursday to a marked and fenced construction site at 799 North Shore Dr., Anna Maria.

Bjurstrom reportedly took his two young daughters inside the fenced area.

“Once inside, Trevor removed rebar and wiring and handed it to his children who carried the material to Denise,” the report states. “Denise took the items from the children and loaded them into her vehicle.”

Bjurstrom had no one to take care of the children, according to the report. Florida Child Protective Services took custody of the children. Booking information for was not immediately available.
