MANATEE — A juvenile has been charged with burglary to a business, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Dawins Calixte, 15, was arrested at his residence Wednesday afternoon, according to the report.

On June 18, employees of Peggy’s Place, 4511 U.S. 41 N., Palmetto, discovered the enclosed section of the outside bar area had been broken into and a cable box and remote valued at $500 were missing.

The crime reportedly took place at 12:01 a.m. June 17, according to video surveillance of the incident.

Dawins did not admit to the burglary, but officials say it is clear he is the same person in the surveillance video.

Dawins was being held at the Manatee Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
