Rockies' Flande to debut against Cards

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies have purchased the contract of Yohan Flande from Triple-A Colorado Springs and the left-hander is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

It will be the major league debut for the 28-year-old Flande, who was 2-9 with a 4.42 earned run average in 13 starts and one relief appearance for Colorado Springs this season.

The Rockies opened a roster spot by placing fellow rookie hurler Christian Bergman on the 60-day disabled list. The trapezium bone at the heel of Bergman's left hand was fractured when he was struck by a line drive Friday in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
