YachtSea Grille wine pairing dinner: YachtSea Grille, 101 Riverfront Drive, Suite 120, Bradenton, is hosting a series of wine tastings through the summer. The next one begins at 6:30 p.m. June 24. The six-course menu will include dishes such as sofrito braised pork served with coconut rice and beans paired Ed Meades Zinfandel and balsamic glazed shrimp over bruschetta rustica paired with Cambria Viegnier. Cost: $45 for six wines and six courses. Reservations are required as the event is limited to 35 guests. Call 941-896-9660.

Seventh annual Spyder Broussard Fish Fry and Shrimp Boil: The Polo Grill, 10670 Boardwalk Loop, Lakewood Ranch, will meld the music of the Gumbo Boogie Band and New Orleans excitement with oysters, shrimp, spicy andouille sausages gumbo and fried catfish, on at 6:30 p.m. June 28. Fourth of July: Pier 22's annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration and Pig Roast begins at 6 p.m. July 4. Guests will enjoy exclusive VIP seating along the Manatee River, under the fireworks. The buffet including a pig roast, prime rib carving station, fish and chips, barbecue chicken, assorted sushi, mussels, peel-and-eat shrimp, oysters on the half shell, bean chili, beef franks, micro burgers, pasta primavera, potato salad, Pier 22 house salad, 1976 salad, mashed potatoes, corn bread, coleslaw, baked beans, mixed vegetables, apple cobbler and much more. Cost: $69.95 for adults and $19.95 for children under age 12. Tax, gratuity and beverages not included. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fourth of July: Riverhouse Reef & Grill, Regatta Pointe Marina, 995 Riverside Drive, Palmetto, will celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks on the Manatee River, a live DJ, dancing, party favors and All-American buffet. Cost: $45 adults, $15 children age 12-6, free for children 5 and younger with an adult. Reservations: 941-729-0616.

Shrimp and lobster festival: The Sarasota Farmer's Market will be hosting its Fourth annual Shrimp & Lobster Festival 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 5 in downtown Sarasota. Market vendors will be serving lobster rolls, shrimp and Maine lobster dinners. Other delights include lobster crepes, shrimp gazpacho, burgers on the grill, and more. Dining will be under a large tent in the First Church parking lot on State Street. Live entertainment will be provided by Big Night Out. The Sarasota Farmer's Market prize drawing will be held at 1 p.m. Proceeds will go to support the Sarasota Farmer's Market. The market is located at the intersection of Main and Lemon in the heart of downtown Sarasota, and is open between the hours of 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Ortygia Tour of Italy: Ortygia Restaurant, 1418 13th St. W., Bradenton, is featuring a Tour of Liguria, Italy, today through June 28. Menu highlights include mixed broccoli and vegetable soup, fresh fish of the day, zucchini and potato tart, fettuccine with pesto, braised chicken with salt-cured olives, lemon, Pinot Grigio, garlic, rosemary and sage; and fresh sea bass with artichokes, parsley and white wine. Euphemia Haye's 'Queen's Feast': All hail the Queen! As a staff member for the past three years, Brianne Wilson, 21, has had many roles at Euphemia Haye restaurant. She rotates between working as a host, cocktail waitress and a server in the Haye Loft. In April, Brianne was crowned Queen of the Desoto Heritage Festival. In honor of Brianne's accomplishment, Euphemia Haye has created a summer menu special called the "Queen's Feast" where guests can eat like a queen and enjoy a three-course dinner for $36. The special menu is only available upstairs at the Haye Loft 6-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday through August. For appetizers, guests may choose one from the popular starters including chef's pâté, Caesar salad, sweet n' spicy honey mustard shrimp, snails Leslie or spring greens. For the main course, guests can choose one from five favorites including our renowned roast duckling, Grecian lamb shank, chicken florentine, gamberetti e capellini and eggplant Parmesan. For dessert, enjoy their signature apple crumble pie, traditional southern pecan pie, coconut cream pie or chocolate ganache cake. Longhorn Steakhouse summer menu: LongHorn Steakhouse is celebrating summer with more than 15 new menu items. The Prime Time menu which features a variety of $3, $4 and $5 drinks and $5 appetizers is available 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Peak Season menu items include tastes of summer such as fried green tomatoes, grilled watermelon wedge and fire-grilled corn of the cob. The Chef's Showcase menu includes grilled lobster chops, fire-grilled Hawaiian rib-eye and brown butter lemon tilapia and grilled shrimp. The restaurant has a location at 4502 14th St. W., Bradenton. Mattison's Forty-One Chef Camp: The fourth annual Chef Camp at Mattison's Forty-One, 7275 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, is offering several one-week sessions: Advanced Skills Camp (July 7-11), Pastry Chef Camp (July 21-25) and Partner Chef Camp (Aug. 11-15). Brewers discussion: Motorworks Brewing, 1014 Ninth St. W., Bradenton, will hold a weekly brewers discussion at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays. One or more of our brewers will be give an hour-long discussion on beer styles and brewing. A different Motorworks Brewing beer will be on spotlight with the option to enjoy a snack paired perfectly for it. This educational discussion will include Q&A at the end. This is a free event, open to the public. Everyone from beginning craft beer drinkers to craft beer connoisseurs can learn. Information: 941-567-6218.
