Bradenton man charged with firing assault rifle, threatening neighbors

BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was arrested on aggravated assault with a firearm charges on Sunday night, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

A caller reported that the suspect had fired a round behind his residence at the 2500 block of Ninth Avenue West at 9:47 p.m. Sunday, according to police. The suspect, identified as Timothy Lee Holman, was armed with an assault rifle and wearing a vest, and fired the round before threatening neighbors, according to police.

Holman was being held without bond at the Manatee County jail on two charges of aggravated assault.

No injuries were reported.
