2 juveniles face charges after Manatee burglary arrests

MANATEE — Two boys, ages 16 and 15, respectively, have been arrested and charged with burglary among other offenses.

The crimes occurred at 2:14 a.m. Sunday at Ker’s Winghouse, 5105 14th St. W., according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report. A deputy reportedly saw two suspects smash a vehicle window, remove a purse and run. Two deputies gave chase.

One deputy reportedly caught one juvenile with the victim’s property reportedly while wearing socks on his hands. He also possessed burglary tools, the report states.

The first juvenile was taken to Manatee County Juvenile Booking Facility and the victim’s property was returned.

The second juvenile was arrested at his home north of the Pictown Mobile Home Park, according to the report.

The juveniles were reportedly charged with burglary, resisting without violence, possession of burglary tools and aviation and canine callout.
