Bradenton duo jailed after woman assaulted

BRADENTON — A Bradenton man and woman were charged with battery and aggravated assault after physically attacking a woman, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Erica Gibson, 25, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and Ramirez Bradwell, also 25, was arrested at 12:29 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was reportedly walking in the 1900 block of Fifth Avenue Drive East when Gibson jumped out of a vehicle and swung a bat at her. Gibson reportedly missed and began punching and kicking the victim.

The victim reportedly said Bradwell knew where she lived and brought Gibson to “jump her.”

The victim reportedly suffered injuries, scratches and cuts to her feet.

Gibson was booked into Manatee County jail on $1,250 bond and Bradwell was booked on $2,000 bond.
