Bradenton man charged with $2.19 theft of pie, soda

BRADENTON — A Bradenton man has been charged with petty theft after he stole an oatmeal cream pie and soda from a store, according to the Manatee County Sherifff’s Office.

Clayton Mackenzie Stacks, 25, was arrested at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday at 6030 14th St. W., Bradenton. He reportedly placed an oatmeal cream pie and soda in his pockets and left the store without paying.

Stacks later returned to the store where the store manager recognized him.

Stacks was booked in jail and was being held on $120 bond. The stolen items were valued at $2.19.
