— The Bradenton Marauders will don custom Boba Fett jerseys when they host Star Wars Night on July 19 at McKechnie Field in a tribute to the series' iconic bounty hunter character.

The jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the game, the team announced Wednesday, with proceeds benefiting Lakewood Ranch-based nonprofit Center for Building Hope in its fight against cancer,

Fans will also be able get their pictures taken with a full cast of Star Wars characters in attendance at the stadium and are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character. A costume contest will be held in the sixth inning to determine the best dressed.

Other activities include a cancer survivor's walk around the warning track at 5:45 p.m. and a charity balloon pop, where fans can pay $10 or $20 for a chance to pop a balloon and win a prize.

The Marauders, a high Single-A minor league affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, host the Clearwater Threshers that night. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the McKechnie Field ticket office, online at bradentonmarauders or by phone at 941-747-3031.
