From the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office:

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Venice man who took pictures up a woman's skirt at a Target store in Sarasota.

The 41-year-old victim was shopping with her children Sunday afternoon when she observed a man speaking with them. A short time later she noticed multiple flashes illuminate from the floor and turned around to see the same man crouched down behind her with his cell phone in his hand. The woman confronted the suspect and they struggled briefly. He ran off but a witness followed him and got the tag number from his car.

Detectives obtained surveillance video which clearly showed the incident and helped confirm that the suspect was the registered owner of the vehicle, Aaron Stahl, DOB 10/16/78, 411 Beverly Road, Venice. They obtained an arrest warrant and took him into custody at his home yesterday afternoon.

Stahl is charged with one felony count of Video Voyeurism and is currently being held without bond.

The incident happened at the Target store at 5350 Fruitville Road.
