Robin Kane has joined Coastline West Realty of Florida's Bradenton office as a sales associate/Realtor. Kane moved to Sarasota-Bradenton in 2001 from Buffalo, N.Y. She has worked in the insurance industry for 13 years as a general lines property and casualty agent. Kane will specialize in southern Manatee County, Lakewood Ranch and the University Park/Lockwood Ridge areas.

Drs. Eugene Pereira and Lindsay Shroyer have joined the Pain Care program at Sarasota Memorial. Pereira is board certified in anesthesiology/pain medicine and Shroyer is board certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation/pain medicine.

Jim Toale, a board-certified real estate lawyer and a former engineer, has joined the law firm of Tannenbaum Hanewich. Toale has joined the firm on a counsel basis and will be supporting the firm's construction law and real estate sections.

Jim Miller of Internet retailer JMX Brands/DutchCrafters spoke at the Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition, the world's largest e-commerce symposium. Miller is founder and chief executive of JMX Brands, a niche Internet retailer in Sarasota that has been included in Internet Retailer Magazine's list of the top 1,000 Internet retailers in the United States since 2012. He has been recognized and is a two-year recipient of grant assistance from UCF's GrowFlorida Council to support economic growth in Florida. JMX's flagship brand, DutchCrafters, is the largest web-only retailer of Amish-made furniture.

Kristen Theisen, chief development officer for Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, was among an international class of certified fund raising executives. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International, which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. They pass a written examination testing the knowledge, skills and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold accountability standards and the Donor Bill of Rights. CFRE International is an independent organization dedicated to upholding the highest standards in ethical philanthropic fundraising through the certification of fundraising executives.
