Woman stabbed at residence in Palmetto

MANATEE-- A woman was staying at a residence in Palmetto when she was stabbed by another woman Sunday night, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

A man who lives on 21st Street West in Palmetto told the unnamed suspect earlier in the week that she was no longer welcome at his home. The suspect and the victim, who was staying with the man, were having an ongoing verbal argument, according to deputies.

The witness left his home Sunday night and returned at 8:50 p.m. to see the injured victim leaving the residence, who he immediately took to the hospital. The victim is in stable condition, according to the report.

The report did not specify the relationship between the suspect, victim and the witness.
