Fourteen physicians in the Intercoastal Medical Group have been named among the country's leading physicians in the annual America's Top Doctors compilation produced by publisher Castle Connolly. The following physicians were named: internal medicine specialists Charles Hollen and David Daiello; family practice specialists Harold Johnson, Joe Larkin and Krista Toomre; dermatologist Joseph Yohn; gynecologist Jon Yenari; neurologists Julio Cantero and Mauricio wwConcha; endocrinologists Wende M. Kozlow and Jesus Perez; and surgeons Richard Golub, Scott Stevens and Matthew Byers.
Jeffrey D. Peairs with Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A. has received his board certification in Civil Litigation by the Florida Bar. Peairs is a shareholder in the firm and holds the AV preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
David S. Maglich of Fergeson, Skipper, Shaw, Keyser, Baron & Tirabassi, P.A. has received the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from the attorney rating site Martindale-Hubbell. Maglich is board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in civil trial law and business litigation law. He is authorized to practice law in Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is also a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association.
Manasota SCORE unanimously elected new chapter officers who began their service June 1. Dennis Zink was selected to serve as chapter chair and Bob Melberth will serve as vice chair. Zink had been serving as the chapter's vice chair and the community outreach leader. He set up an Ambassador program, an organized effort to connect SCORE mentors with other area organizations. Melberth has been with Manasota SCORE for four years, after a 30-year career in restaurant and franchising industries. He has presented workshops on franchising for chapter members, has conducted SCORE's free introductory entrepreneurial workshop - Startup Basics, and serves as a mentor to business owners and potential entrepreneurs. Malberth is taking on responsibility for the chapter's Ambassador program and MeetUp group, and Zink will maintain Community Outreach leadership.
