— A man was robbed at knifepoint by a couple he shared a cab ride home with Saturday morning, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.

The victim decided to share the cab with the suspects, whom he didn't know, following a night of drinking and dancing at El Paisano's nightclub, according to the report.

When the cab dropped them off at the Star Trailer Park, 204 41st Ave. E, the male suspect pulled out a buck knife and the female suspect took the victim's wallet from his pocket, deputies said. They then fled.

The victim called authorities 30 minutes later. No injuries were reported.

The woman had blonde hair, wore a purple shirt and had one tooth, deputies said. The male suspect had short hair and wore a white shirt and blue jeans.

The incident happened sometime around 2 a.m.
