HOLMES BEACH -- A Dover man was charged Thursday with operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license and contributing to the delinquency of a child after police discovered he bought alcohol for a juvenile, according to the Holmes Beach Police Department.

Gerardo Rosales Guevara, 31, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. at 3900 Gulf Dr. in Holmes Beach after an officer stopped him for having an expired vehicle tag. According to the police report, Guevara has never been issued a driver's license.

"Inside the vehicle I observed approximately 6 open Bud Light beers," the report states. There was a 17-year-old in the front passenger seat who had a beer.

According to the report, Guevara admitted to buying the beer for the juvenile before driving him to the beach. The juvenile blew a .28 in the portable intoxilyzer.

Guevara was booked in jail and held on $620 bond before being released Friday.
