Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians activated catcher/infielder Carlos Santana from the seven-day concussion disabled list on Friday.

Santana missed two weeks with post-concussion symptoms after he was struck in the head by a foul tip in a 4-2 loss to Baltimore on May 25.

Prior to landing on the disabled list, Santana was hitting just .159 with seven doubles, six homers and 17 RBI in 50 games this season. He is slated to start as the designated hitter and bat eighth Friday against the Rangers.

The Indians also optioned infielder Jesus Aguilar to Triple-A Columbus.

Aguilar made his major league debut on May 15, but batted just .188 with two RBI over eight games with the Indians.
