Bradenton man charged with stuffing 8 Ralph Lauren shirts in Sears bag, walking out of store

BRADENTON -- A Bradenton man was charged with shoplifting Sunday after he was observed placing merchandise into a Sears bag and walking out of the store, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

At 4:39 p.m., 37-year-old Paul Jason Paredes was arrested by authorities at the store, 303 301 Blvd W, Bradenton. According to a report, Paredes was observed on closed circuit surveillance selecting clothing from the store and placing the items into a Sears bag. He walked out of the store, where he was approached by a loss prevention employee.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a total of 8 Ralph Lauren Polo shirts, worth a total of $384, were in the bag.

Paredes, who deputies say trespassed from the location, was booked in jail and was being held on $1,500 bond.
