TAVARES -- Two Sarasota Boxing Club fighters remained undefeated with victories over Tavares-based boxers Saturday night.

Tim Jenkins, 22, fighting at 146 pounds, won a unanimous decision over Jose Gonzalez, 26, who weighed in at 144. Jenkins, who was too quick for Gonzalez, improved to 10-0.

Jovante "High and Mighty" Thomas, fighting at 167 pounds, improved to 3-0 with a victory over Barrett Hand, 18, who fought at 164. Jabs and hooks did the trick for Thomas.

The Sarasota Boxing Club is now 361-117, which is the best amateur club record in Florida.
