Would-be Bradenton burglar scared off by woman's dog

June 1, 2014

BRADENTON — A Bradenton victim told police she was awakened at 2:42 a.m. Sunday by the sound of breaking glass.

The victim, who lives in the 900 block of 48th Street Drive East, said her bedroom window was broken, according to a Bradenton Police Department report.

As the victim began walking through the house, she saw a person’s leg halfway into the home by the door.

The victim’s dog began to bark and the suspect reportedly ran away.

The victim never saw the suspect so a physical description was not available, according to the report.
