Bradenton motorcyclist identified in fatal Saturday crash

MANATEE — A 31-year-old Bradenton man was identified as the driver of a Suzuki motorcycle involved in a fatal crash at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Brian Casey died when the Suzuki GSX R750 he was driving struck a Toyota Rav-4 at 75th Street West and 29th Avenue West, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Casey reportedly was speeding northbound on 75th Street approaching a red light at 29th Avenue West. A 2012 Rav-4 driven by a 70-year-old woman was traveling east on 29th Avenue West through a green light, according to the report.

Casey did not stop for the red light and the front of the motorcycle reportedly hit the right rear of the Rav-4.

Casey was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Rav-4 was not injured.
