— A man was stabbed and gunshots were reported during a fight at a Bradenton residence Friday night, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The 23-year-old victim drove to the residence in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Drive East around 11:15 p.m. to confront someone, according to a sheriff's report.

There were "numerous" people at the residence, deputies were told, and the victim got into a physical altercation with the unidentified person, the report states.

At some point, the victim was stabbed with an unknown object. Moments later, gunshots were fired, leading everyone to flee the area, deputies said.

The victim drove away and later arrived at a local hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening and only required routine medical treatment, according to the report.

"None of the parties involved were very forthcoming with information regarding the incident," the report states.

The investigation is ongoing.
