Possible sinkhole found near Legoland in central Florida

WINTER HAVEN -- Winter Haven authorities have responded to a possible sinkhole in a Publix parking lot.

According to authorities, a hole opened up in the Publix parking lot at 6031 Cypress Gardens Boulevard. That is across the street from Legoland.

Officials said the hole is approximately 30 feet wide and five feet deep. The parking lot is private property and the owners have contacted geologists to evaluate.

The parking lot continues to buckle around the hole.

So far, there has been no structure damage to the building, which houses Publix, K-Mart and other smaller businesses.

No injuries have been reported.
