BRADENTON -- A Sarasota man was charged with his third petty theft offense Tuesday after taking meat from Publix and fleeing to a nearby Target store, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

At 4:58 p.m. on Tuesday, 31-year-old Marc L. Listman was arrested at a Publix Super Market, 6030 14th St W, Bradenton. According to a Publix manager, Listman selected several meats and other items from the store that had a total value of $240.79.

The manager advised Listman to stop once he passed all points of sale, the report states. Listman dropped the items and fled to the south into Target where he was located by a deputy. He was booked into jail on $1,500 bond.
