San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs placed left-handed reliever Wesley Wright on the paternity leave list Tuesday and recalled righty Blake Parker from Triple-A Iowa.

Wright has a 3.18 earned run average in 18 appearances this season. Without him, James Russell is Chicago's only left-handed option out of the bullpen.

Parker has a 0.77 ERA and eight saves in 12 games for Iowa. He's made two appearances for the Cubs this season.

The Cubs are in San Francisco for a series against the Giants.
