Bringing gun to Bradenton spat spurs weapons charge

BRADENTON — A suspect who brought a handgun to a dispute with a neighbor has been charged by the Bradenton Police Department.

Lt. Brian Thiers reported a suspect came to a house at 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of 14th Street East with a handgun to a dispute between neighbors. The weapon remained at his side, never pointed, Thiers reported.

A felony traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle as it was leaving, subjects were detained and a firearm was located. A juvenile in the rear passenger seat was charged with possession of a concealed weapon.
