Man shot in leg in drive by shooting in Bradenton

A man was shot in the leg during a drive by shooting early Saturday, Bradenton police report.

The shooting occurred in the 2200 block of 15th Avenue East around 5 a.m., according to a report.

The suspect was driving a dark-colored Chrysler 300, the report states. There was no description of the suspect.

The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury to his lower leg, police said.

A detective responded to the hospital, and the victim signed a waiver of prosecution, the release states.

No evidence was found at the scene, police said.
