— A woman was arrested on drug trafficking charges after authorities say they found 127 grams of heroin inside her car during a traffic stop.

Members of the Manatee County Sheriff's Office's Tactical and Strategic Gang Units and a police dog searched the woman's black Dodge Charger around 2:09 p.m. Friday in the 5800 block of 12th Street East, according to a news release.

During the search they found the heroin, which has an estimated street value of $15,000, plus a silver scale in the driver's side door, deputies said.

Tamara Cadet, 26, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was arrested without incident. She had several active warrants for her arrest, according to the sheriff's office.

In addition, she is charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of paraphernalia.
