MANATEE -- Deputies are looking for four suspects after a home invasion in Bradenton early Thursday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

One of the two victims reported hearing a gunshot during a struggle with the intruders, but no one was seriously injured in an incident detectives say appears to have been related to drugs, according to the news release.

About 2:20 a.m., of the victims heard a knock at the door of a residence in the 5900 block of 12th Street West.

"Once he recognized who the female was, he began to open the door. At that moment, the three suspects rushed the door and a struggle ensued over control of the door," the report states. The other suspects were two men and one woman.

The victim gave up the fight when he heard a gunshot. The intruders then forced him to the ground, and a second victim was then brought to the living room, the sheriff's office said.

The intruders asked, "Where is it?" the report states.

"The suspects fled the residence a short time later without taking anything," the sheriff's office said.

Deputies said they have identified one of the women involved in the invasion and consider her a "person of interest."
