After responding to the single vehicle crash at 1:36 a.m. at 1100 Eighth Ave. E., officers had the passenger taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

The gunshot wound was found in the victim's right calf at the hospital, and the injury was not life threatening, according to the report. A bullet shell casing was found in the vehicle and submitted for testing, but the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation.
