Parts of Bradenton Riverwalk to close for maintenance

Parts of the Bradenton Riverwalk will close for about a month for maintenance starting June 2. Plans call for resurfacing the playground, adding a slip-resistant aquatic base to the splash pad and laying new sod at the pavilion lawn, according to a city news release.

Public Works officials are aiming to reopen the playground and splash pad before the July 4 weekend, but the lawn is expected to remain closed longer while the new sod takes root.
