Window shattered in shooting incident at East Manatee home

— Authorities are investigating after someone shot at a home and shattered a window Friday night.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at a home in the 300 block of 165th Court East, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Someone discharged a firearm from what appears to be the vicinity of Rye Road, according to a sheriff's report. A projectile struck a residence, shattering a window, but no one was injured.

It wasn't immediately clear if the incident was random or intentional, deputies said. An investigation is ongoing.
